Alice ~n~ Wonderland

So I am pondering another blog.  I can't even keep up with this one.  I did however go back and read from the beginning.  I must say I have tears in my eyes. 
April 2005 Tanner was diagnosed with Perthes and here we are Sept 2009 and he is still battling it.  He has a little regrowth but nothing majoor to speak of.  So depressing.   I can't write anymore...my heart aches for my son.  Life is so unfair.

  

Tanner had is 12 week appointment yesterday.  To make this short and sweet...his doctor is NUTS but Tanner has REGROWTH.  I don't want to get into all of it in a blog, but my son is happy and that's what matters.   He was told no wheelchair use once again and to use crutches.  So we have bright red WalkEasy crutches.  He has been training on them for the last 2 PT sessions.  This will prevent him putting a tremendous amount of weight on his hip.

As for now we go back again in 12 weeks to see what is goin on.  Today no inflammation, still have several cyst, but we have REGROWTH.

It just all feels like DeJaVu to me...been here done this...all again, maybe this time is the time..

To think seven years ago today, Jessica and I went shopping at the mall and Meijers. Upon entering Meijers I told her...umm, I think my water broke.  To her suprise she said...should we go home. I said no because it wasnt a GUSHHHH.  Later that day we went for a walk and I felt the same feeling.  I then called the Doctor and  asked  if it was possible to have a tear in my bag and she said yes, but did not think I did since she had seen me on yesterday.  Later in the evening David and I attended a Christmas party at Red Fish downtown Chicago.  I had Alligator and Shrimp Gumbo with a Crawdad in it.  David and I walked the city a little to, knowing the next time would be a year or so.  We had a great night.   I told him then I thought my water had a leak.  He brought me home, I went to bed and he went back to work.  At 3 am I called him and said, I still keep getting wet.    LOL...David came home and at 5 am we went to the hospital.  I did have a tear but no contractions.  Little did I know that on December 3, 2000 I would have another C-section.  Our families rushed to be by our sides.  Jessica was awaiting a little brother.  LOL, I asked my sister-n-law Sue to leave cause she was there the last time I had to have a C-Section.  Everyone drove in snow to come and be with us and greet Tanner.  LOOK what we have now.. A wonderful son who is definatley a keeper!!!  He keeps me young and on my toes.    Happy Birthday Tanner Joseph...we love you with all our beings...and yes, I love you MORE!!!

 

This morning Tanner began his first day of FIRST GRADE.  Yes, my little boy is growing up. 

I spent last night thinking about how fast they grow.  It's like the song, "Don't Blink".  It's the truth, you blink and they are gone.  I remember Jessie's first day of FIRST GRADE and now she is graduating college in a month!  Before I know it Tanner will be graduating High School.    First grade is just the beginning for him, but I see it as him preparing for something bigger than I can imagine.   I cried last night, afraid of what life had instore for him and I believe more afraid of losing my little boy.  They really do grow to fast....DON"T BLINK!!!!
